hi its me again.

i wanna show you guys how to change your settings so you cant get skype grabbed.

first:


open your settings. (feel free to copy these settings.)
click of the use port 80 and 443 to prevent stuff to block http servers and etc.
put host as any ip you want, leave the port as 40031.
then save.

i did not discover this, thought i would let u guys defend againts ddosing skids.

Has anyone actually tested this?

I thought the issue was that after the initial request, skype drops to peer-to-peer for calls so that any person trying to call you will be able to get your IP. Skype as far as I remember doesn't respect proxy settings if they fail, so it'll drop back to your regular IP address ..

Always use VPN! But very awesome, hopefully this is a working method so people can be careful.

This method does indeed work! It's just that on some ISP(s) it does not allow this kind of connection difference.
